Deciding to take classes at our art association in Lincoln City, Oregon, was one of my better ideas.  I tried watercolor and oil; however, a brush with pastel at an early age made me feel very comfortable with this medium.  Feeling more secure as a budding artist, I tried classes and workshops: life drawing, landscape, still life, plein air painting.  I enjoy experimenting with different methods and materials and have even made my own pastels from dry pigment.

To stretch my ability to learn new ways to express myself, I paint a series.  I place bright colors in unusual places, create moods, paint light, and use my intuition to make art that is uniquely my own.

I moved to Lacey, WA, with my husband in 2005.  I currently enjoy membership in Olympia Art League, the Artists Gallery, and the Northwest Pastel Society.  I exhibit in and around Thurston County, Washington.
