Ruth Roberts studied art history and fine arts at The University of Tulsa in Oklahoma. While in college, she won a few awards for her abstract work in watercolor, ink, and wall sculptures. Art gave way to a business career and raising a family, but resurfaced decades later after a move to Washington.
Ruth’s art focus is on landscapes. Ruth loves detail and tries to capture as much as possible in a realistic style. To the casual viewer, her work often seems three dimensional, but her paintings truly invite close-up viewing; they often contain nearly hidden elements for the art viewer to discover.
Art is a hobby of Ruth’s, but a few of her originals are in private collections in Oklahoma and Washington. Limited edition prints are in collections in Oklahoma, Washington, the Netherlands, and onboard the tall ship Europa stationed in Chili.
