Boredom introduced me to art. For almost as long as I can remember, doodling and sketching have kept me awake and in tune during dull classes, meetings, sermons, and phone calls.

Over the years, I have studied art in various mediums with California artist Michael Ward, noted Washington artists Jen Evenhus, Clark Elster. and Oregon artist and instructor Michael Booth. Watercolorist Jill Ingram taught me the important role of serendipity.

My own frustrations taught me my talent is a gift. On days when I can’t draw a stick figure with a template, I know I’m looking to my own talent rather than to the Source of all creativity.
