Paint-Out at Joy Justis’s Garden

Take Harrison Ave. until it turns into Mud Bay Road, at the stop light at Delphi Rd. turn left, go 1.5 miles and turn right onto Cedar Flats Rd.SW., in 1.2 miles turn left into the driveway. A charming home garden with beautiful trees, shrubs, and perennials. Rhododendrons will be be in bloom. Bring your lunch, drinks provided.

Paint-Out at Boston Harbor Marina

Take East Bay Road 6.9 miles and turn onto Boston Harbor Rd, then in .2 mile turn onto 73rd Ave. NE.,in another .2 mile the Marina will be on your right. Scenic Marina with boat, beach, and Puget Sound views. Get some coffee and a breakfast sandwich and sketch or paint in a covered outdoor area.

Drive West on Harrison Ave. Turn Right onto Overhulse Rd NW (just before the Highway 101 overpass). Turn Right on 20th Lane NW and take Right into pasture parking. View trees, gardens, arbors, and animals.

Take State Route 101 North to Oyster Bay Rd., continue until 49th Ave, turning right. This is a lovely cottage home including interesting out-buildings and a barn with 2 horses. Beauitful woods with waterfront access with many options to paint or sketch.

Paint-Out at Schirm Loop Homestead Lavender Farm

Take Highway 101 to the Old Steamboat Rd. Exit, go 7 miles on Steamboat Rd.and take a slight right turn onto Hunter Point Rd., in .9 mile turn right onto Salty Point Dr., then in .5 mile turn right onto 86th Ave. NW, go another .5 mile and turn left onto Schirm Loop Rd. A charming and beautiful lavender farm tucked away on Eld Inlet with a view of Mount Rainier and South Puget Sound. U-cut lavender available and a gift shop with handmade local items. Donation suggested.

Paint-Out at Spurgeon Creek Estates

I-5 South to 93rd Ave Exit. Go Left over freeway and stay 93rd Ave. to Old 99. Turn Right and go 2.1 miles to Rich Road SE. Turn. Left at Rich Road SE. Turn Right onto Crete St SE. In 600ft turn right onto Crete St SE. In about 500 ft is the location. They have weddings there and it has many fun things to paint.

Paint-Out at Brewery Park

Take Exit 103 at Deschutes Way SW. At the corner of Deschutes and “C” Street, turn left into parking area. Constructed in 1962, the 15-acre park along the falls of the Deschutes River is filled with natural, picturesque beauty and a wide variety of native trees and shrubs. One-half mile of walking trails are highlighted by cascading waterfalls, reflective pools, and massive rocks. Clean restrooms and ample parking.

Paint-Out at Billy Frank Jr. NWR

Located 8 miles northeast of Olympia. From I-5 South, take Exit 114. Go right at the traffic light at the end of the exit ramp; go under the freeway and make a right into the Refuge. Follow the entrance road to the two public parking lots. From I-5 Northbound, take Exit 114. Turn left at stop sign; go under freeway and make right into the Refuge. Follow the entrance road to the two public parking lots. Visitor Center has a covered area, if weather is questionable. Good boardwalk with areas to stop and do art. Daily fee is $3, or free with Golden Eagle Pass.

Paint-Out at Mud Bay

Meet across from Buzz’s Grill at 4935 Mud Bay Rd. NW From Highway 101 WEST, take 2nd Ave SW Exit. Sharp RIGHT onto Mud Bay Rd NW. Views of Mud Bay, or walk up to Randall Preserve if it’s hot. You can also paint at Fun Junk or Jay’s Farm Stand, or across the freeway near the metal cows, a church, or a barn. Meet for lunch at Buzz’s or bring your lunch.

Meet at the Sandstone Café at 273 Sussex Avenue W. come early if you want to have breakfast. Then find an interesting or historic location that inspires you. The storefronts are always fun to do. We’ll meet up for our “throwdown” back at the Sandstone Café, in case you come late.
