I have enjoyed art and painting all my life and worked with acrylics, watercolor and oil pastels before focusing on soft pastels in 2008. My favorite paintings reflect the feeling of a snap-shot in time, a brief glimpse of something that I’d like to preserve and savor. I want my art to not only offer a ‘picture’ of the moment but also try to capture the feeling of the experience: the heat of the sun, the bustle of the street, a gust of breeze or a peaceful stillness. I appreciate the fact that life is constantly changing, I hope that I can preserve a few special moments with my art. I have been a member of the Olympia Art League for four years and am also a member of the Northwest Pastel Society.
