April Works

April specializes in 2-D and 3-D art using fabric. Her fabric art is mainly abstract but can also be representational. She mainly uses fabric as her paint and pieces, appliques or fuses the fabric together and finishes her fabric art with free-motion machine stitching. She often dyes and/or paints her own fabric to achieve the color she wants. She occasionally uses non-woven fabric, paper, and yarn to add another level of texture. Her fabric work has been shown at various juried and non-juried shows in Washington State. She also dabbles in colored pencil, watercolor and graphite.
